I grew up in Nanuet (class of 1984 at Nanuet Sr. High School) and moved to Atlanta almost 17 years ago.
My 4-year old son's good buddy was diagnosed with cancer 2 years ago and the last 2 years has been a tear-filled time of chemo, hospitals, nurses, despair, needles, hope and prayer. His mom and dad are gifted writers and keep an almost-daily blog, which is mainly how we keep up with his progress.
Can you imagine my surprise when I read this evening's blog that MY hometown of Nanuet is honoring our little friend, Patrick Chance from Atlanta GA this weekend!! What an incredibly small world!!! I was so proud of being from Nanuet!
Thank you for providing this opportunity to this well-deserving young boy and incredibly courageous family. I am sure this is an experience that they will all treasure and remember as an integral part of his recovery!!
