which of the Ward La Frances was the model that appeared in the National Motor Museum Mint catalog, the 1954 or the 1957. (I just purchased the model. I collect fire apparatus models for the historical period of 1910 through the mid-'50's.

Are there any plans yet for the 150th anniversary celebration yet? If so, please let me know. My father and I hope to come out then for it. It's been a long time since either of us have been back home, and the 150th would be an ideal time.

Thanks be to those who put this website together and update it. This way, I can feel like I'm still a part of the company, despite many years and even more miles between us.

Hey guys
I was just looking to find the Nanuet Vol. Ambulance Corps. web site.
Apperently my grandfather was a member in the later 50's early 60's with his brother Bill. I was talking with him ther other day and he asked me how long I had been in? (13 fire 10 ems) He told me some stories of when he was down there. I had known he was a fire fighter here in Norwood but not of the ems gig in nanuet. I'd like to trade a P'ville-T for a nvac T for him (he's 82)
I'll Email you as well but if you guys can help out I'd be indebited.
This is a great site it's set up like Potsdam fires site and Canton fires as well. The La France is sweet, it's a world different than the old FDNY reject '80 that I used to run when I was "Down The Hill" ten years ago! I still think customs are the way to go. We run a central states on a ford Louieville chassis.
if you pop on our website the little girl with the holding the axe and wearing the bucket is my little girl.

in brotherhood
Johnny

To all who put together the Christmas Celebration..thanks again for a great time. My dad is John Fickes and I remember coming myself to the firehouse as a little girl anxiously awaiting my chance to get the gift 'Santa' had just for me. Now I have had the chance to watch my kids and their VERY proud Grandpa do the same over the past few years. The entertainment was perfect for all ages..I wasn't able to stay myself this year(typing up a final for a class) but heard all about everything from both my kids when they got home. Alexa was actually riding her new Razor scooter up and down the hall in the house and eventually down the street that very day..it was on her list from day one this year..who knew? Santa?....and Johnathan loves his cool race track. He has played with it just about every day since the party.and keeps rearranging the track and trying it all over again.. But it is more than the gifts.I know that memories are being created, time with grandpa is being shared and they get to see the home of brave community member that give of themselves all the time. Thank you for providing a great time for my kids and giving me a chance to cherish my past with my dad too! Jane Stormes

Was interested in finding out a little information about the town where I grew up from September 1956 to June 1963, and happened to come across your website. I lived at St. Agatha Home and graduated from Nanuet Jr - Sr High School, class of 1963.
I was very impressed by your website. What an outstanding job you have done!
I will always remember the 1961 5 alarm incident at Saint Agatha.
(the 3 story St Joseph dormitory)
Best of luck and God's safety to all.
Joel

After seeing your companies indian head on a chiefs car in Lake George,we realized our 1980 Sanford Heavy rescue originated from your company. This truck is still in service until July 2008 when we recieve our new truck. Unfortunately we are going to scrap the truck at that time. The indian head is still on the doors.

Just wanted y'all to know that Fireman Patrick thinks of you constantly. He tried to talk me into following a fire truck the other day because he was supposed to be helping! He loves y'all. He named the dog that sweet Lauren gave him at the fire station "Nanuet" and he sleeps with him every night.

Thanks for your love and support,
