Shortly before 8am on Sunday, Nanuet FD was alerted to respond to a car fire on the Exit 14 ramp of the New York State Thruway. While responding, Asst Chief AJ Knapp was notified by 44-Control that the car was reported to be fully involved. Upon arrival, crews from 8-EQ made quick work of the single sedan fire, confirming no victims trapped in the vehicle. Shortly after, crews from 8-1250 and 8-1750 were on scene to assist. Within 20 minutes, all 3 pumpers and their crews had returned to service, and the Sunday morning quiet was restored to Nanuet.
